IN STATS: How every teammate head-to-head stacks up at mid-season

The 2026 F1 ACADEMY campaign has reached its halfway point, but who has had the upper hand in each of the six teams’ in-house battles? While some of the squads’ results have been closely contested, others have been more one-sided.

With four Qualifying sessions and seven races across the three rounds to assess, let’s see what the statistics tell us about each trio, in Teams’ Standings order…

CAMPOS RACING

Qualifying: Palmowski 4 – Bruce 0 – Ferreira 0

Standings: Palmowski 1st – Bruce 4th – Ferreira 8th

It’s little surprise that Drivers’ Standings leader Alisha Palmowski has come out top in the Campos Racing head-to-head. The Red Bull Racing driver is the only one on the grid to have scored multiple pole positions — three so far — and has seized three wins in the Montreal Opening and Feature Races and the Silverstone Feature Race.

Responsible for 62.06% of the Spanish squad’s 174 points, Palmowski has the highest average finishing position on the grid at 3.57. She has only been beaten by her teammates twice: by Rafaela Ferreira in the first race of the season in Shanghai, and by both the Racing Bulls driver and Megan Bruce following contact in the Montreal Opening Race. Bruce has also had the better of Ferreira for most of the season, finishing ahead on four occasions when both made it to the chequered flag.

Notably, the team that holds a 53-point lead in the Standings is also the only squad to have had all three drivers finish inside the top four in a full Grand Prix points-scoring race, doing so in the Montreal Opening Race.

RODIN MOTORSPORT

Qualifying: Felbermayr 3 – Lloyd 1 – Stevens 0

Standings: Felbermayr 2nd – Lloyd 5th – Stevens 16th

Emma Felbermayr has been the standout performer in the Rodin Motorsport trio, as her head-to-head numbers and Drivers’ Standings position demonstrate. Having outqualified her teammates three times out of four, the Audi driver has also crossed the line ahead of them in all but one race, with Ella Lloyd and Ella Stevens finishing in front of her in the Montreal Opening Race.

With a grid-leading five podiums this season, Felbermayr is the only driver in the field to have scored in every race so far, with her haul accounting for 64.46% of Rodin’s 121 points.

Between her two teammates, Lloyd has comfortably had the edge over fellow McLaren junior Stevens, finishing ahead in all seven races and claiming 39 points to the rookie’s four.

PREMA RACING

Qualifying: Westcott 4 – Paatz 0 – Granada 0
Race: Westcott 3 – Paatz 2 – Granada 2
Standings: Westcott 6th – Paatz 7th – Granada 10th

The three-time Teams’ Champions PREMA Racing recruited an all-rookie line-up this season, and they have been the most evenly matched trio so far. Separated by only five places in the Standings and 13 points, Payton Westcott has narrowly emerged in front, contributing 38.29% of the team’s 94 points.

In Qualifying, Westcott has established a firm lead with three top-four results. However, the margins are tighter on race day, where the Mercedes driver holds a one-race advantage over the pair. Despite this, Natalia Granada brought home PREMA’s first podium of the campaign in her first Formula 4 race, while Mathilda Paatz recorded their first win. This made her both the first rookie to achieve a victory in 2026 and the first Aston Martin driver to do so in the series.

Larsen has been fastest in Qualifying, but Gademan has bested her on race days

MP MOTORSPORT

Qualifying: Larsen 3 – Gademan 1 – Kosterman 0
Race: Larsen 2 – Gademan 4 – Kosterman 1
Standings: Larsen 9th – Gademan – 3rd – Kosterman 17th

Over at MP Motorsport, the trio have fared very differently across the first three rounds. Although Alba Larsen has been the quickest qualifier, Nina Gademan holds the advantage on race day. That is reflected in the Standings, with the Alpine driver outscoring her teammates on four occasions.

POLL: Who has been your standout driver of the 2026 season so far?

Netting 67.56% of MP’s 74 points, Gademan has contributed the highest percentage of any team’s leading driver and delivered the squad’s two podium finishes so far. Behind her, Larsen has thoroughly outperformed Esmee Kosterman. The Ferrari driver has claimed four points finishes, with a best result of P5 in the Montreal Opening Race, while Kosterman has yet to get off the mark in the LEGO Racing car.

Bättig outscored both Dobson and Robertson in Silverstone

HITECH

Qualifying: Dobson 3 – Wild Cards (Shi, Fisher, Bättig) 1 – Robertson 0
Race: Dobson 2 – Wild Cards (Shi, Fisher, Bättig) 3 – Robertson 2
Standings: Dobson 15th – Shi 20th – Fisher 18th – Bättig 11th – Robertson 14th

Hitech is in a unique position on the 2026 grid, as the British squad is the only team to field two rather than three full-time drivers. With its Wild Card car changing hands for each of the seven rounds, a direct comparison is more difficult.

Of their two full-time drivers, Rachel Robertson has a better average finishing position than Ava Dobson, at 10.33 compared to 11.33*. This is helped by a strong performance across the board at Silverstone, which moved Hitech off the bottom of the Teams’ Standings.

The team’s 41-point haul on home soil was spearheaded by Chiara Bättig, who became the first Wild Card driver to claim either a pole position or a podium — ensuring all six teams have collected silverware this season. With Hitech having only scored a single point before Round 3, the Swiss driver collected more than half of its total points in one weekend appearance.

Unfortunately, Hitech also hold one statistic they’d rather forget. They have recorded the most retirements so far this year with four, courtesy of a double DNF in the Shanghai Feature Race and the Montreal Reverse Grid Race.

Billard has outperformed Countryman and Jacquet in both ART scores

ART GRAND PRIX

Qualifying: Billard 3 – Countryman 1 – Jacquet 0
Race: Billard 3 – Countryman 2 – Jacquet 2
Standings: Billard 12th – Countryman 14th – Jacquet 19th

The intra-team battle at ART Grand Prix fiercely rages on, but at this moment, Lisa Billard has produced the strongest overall results so far, contributing 51.72% of the team’s 29 points. The Gatorade driver has finished inside the points on four occasions, including a top-five finish in the Montreal Reverse Grid Race.

After securing a career-best third in Qualifying, Billard also looked well place to score in the Silverstone Feature Race before stalling on the grid.

However, it was Kaylee Countryman who brought home the French squad’s first silverware with a P2 finish in the Montreal Reverse Grid Race. Interestingly, that race also marked the team’s only double points finish so far. By contrast, Williams’ Jade Jacquet has yet to finish a race inside the top 10.
