A dream is about to come true for Chiara Bättig as she makes her F1 ACADEMY debut at the legendary Silverstone Circuit.
Bättig began to make a name for herself in national-level karting events at home in Switzerland, becoming the youngest Swiss Karting Junior Champion and the first to win the title across three consecutive years.
2025 proved to be a big year for Bättig. Selected as an F1 ACADEMY DISCOVER YOUR DRIVE karter for the Champions of the Future Academy Program International Series, she went on to finish runner-up in the OK-N Senior category. Driving a single-seater for the first time as part of the Red Bull Driver Search, she impressed and earned a spot in the Red Bull Junior Team.
Her F4 debut soon followed, with the Swiss racer scoring six top-10 finishes in the F4 Saudi Arabian Championship and a first podium in the 2026 Formula Winter Series. Joining the British F4 grid this season, Bättig knows what it takes to stand on the podium at Silverstone after her P3 finish in Race 2.
Stepping into the Wild Card spot for Round 3, the 16-year-old will be racing the #6 Wella Professionals operated by Hitech car.
I’m excited to challenge myself, learn from every session, and show what I’m capable of on such a big stage.
