The Chinese driver has been announced as the first F1 ACADEMY Wild Card for 2025, joining the grid for the opening round of the season in Shanghai.

F1 ACADEMY has today announced that Shi Wei, also known as ‘Tie Dou’, will be the first F1 ACADEMY Wild Card entry for 2025, joining the grid for the opening round of the season at the Shanghai International Circuit.

Luna Fluxa Cross had been a force to be reckoned with all season long, but the 14-year-old’s efforts finally paid off at the sixth and final round of the 2024 Champions of the Future Academy Program as she was crowned Champion in the OK-N Senior category.
Scoring her sixth victory of the campaign at the Al Forsan International Sports Resort was enough for Fluxa Cross to seal the title with one day’s action to go — becoming the first female winner of an FIA international championship since Susanna ‘Susy’ Raganelli won the World Karting Championship in 1966.

Graduating from F1 ACADEMY, the Filipina driver will make her GB3 Championship debut with Elite Motorsport next year.

Bianca Bustamante is stepping up the single-seater ladder, as Elite Motorsport have announced that the Filipina driver will make her GB3 Championship debut with them in 2025.

The 19-year-old graduates from F1 ACADEMY after back-to-back seventh-place finishes in the Drivers' Standings. Bustamante scored two wins and a further two podiums in 2023, whilst her sophomore campaign saw her achieve a best finish of P2 in Miami Race 2.

The 20-year-old French racer will benefit from additional track time, combining her sophomore F1 ACADEMY campaign with competing in the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine (FRECA) alongside participating in select rounds of the Formula Regional Middle East Championship (FRMEC) over winter break.

Beginning her racing journey in karting aged seven, Felbermayr went on to compete in her first national race in the Micro Class the following year before progressing through the Mini Class and into the Junior level.

It all came down to those last few laps around the Yas Marina Circuit as PREMA Racing were crowned Teams’ Champions for the second consecutive season.

Facing stiff competition from Rodin Motorsport throughout the 2024 campaign, the Italian team’s defence didn’t go all their own way. Crucially, Maya Weug’s maiden victory in Race 3 alongside Tina Hausmann and Doriane Pin’s top five finishes were enough for them to retain the title by 40 points.

Drawing her F1 ACADEMY journey to a close, the 2024 Champion talked us through an emotional final weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Always putting her heart and soul into everything she does on track, Abbi Pulling wasn’t taking anything for granted in her final F1 ACADEMY weekend. 
Despite sweeping the board in Qualifying, the 2024 Champion had a fight on her hands to stay there in Abu Dhabi. Battling with the likes of Chloe Chambers, Maya Weug and Hamda Al Qubaisi over the top step, Pulling showed what she’s worth by never finishing off the podium across all 14 races.
Talking us through her last sessions in the series, the Alpine driver reflected on an emotional record-breaking weekend as she sought to reward Rodin Motorsport with the Teams’ title and gave thanks to all those who have helped her write her success story this season.
