Thriving under pressure, Esmee Kosterman embarks on her rookie F1 ACADEMY season raring to put all the pieces together with LEGO Racing.
After collecting podium finishes in karting, the Dutch racer was a selected for the 2020 FIA Girls on Track - Rising Stars programme, reaching the final eight. A move into cars followed the next year, where she competed in the Ford Fiesta Sprint Cup Benelux.
In 2023, Kosterman made history as the first woman to win in the series, going on to finish second in the Junior Cup and third overall. Further experience across the Dutch Supercar Challenge, BMW M2 Cup and the Lamera Cup paved the way for her single-seater debut in 2024, where she scored points on debut in Indian F4.
Last season, Kosterman gained valuable mileage in British F4 season, before making a points-scoring F1 ACADEMY debut as the Wild Card entry on home soil in Zandvoort. The first of 2025’s Wild Card drivers graduate to a full-time seat, the 21-year-old will link up with compatriots MP Motorsport as she takes the next step in 2026.
