More than 75 years on from hosting the first-ever Formula 1 World Championship race, Silverstone is set to mark another milestone in its history as F1 ACADEMY makes a very special debut at the British Grand Prix.
In that time, the track has become synonymous as the home of British motorsport, creating lifelong memories for drivers and fans alike — none more so than for our five British drivers: Megan Bruce, Ella Lloyd, Alisha Palmowski, Rachel Robertson and Ella Stevens.
Before the British Grand Prix weekend kicks off, we asked the Brits on the grid to reflect on their favourite Silverstone memories as they look to add to them this weekend…

Alisha Palmowski (Red Bull Racing): My favourite memory would be the 2015 British Grand Prix, which was my first experience of motorsport in person. I think that's where my passion for motorsport was really unlocked. It was the first time I saw Formula 1 cars — the sounds, the noises, the smells, I just got hooked instantly! So that's what's changed the course of my life, really.

It's like the famous commentary line of “Through goes Hamilton”. I've not watched too many Silverstone races, so this year when we race there ourselves with F1 ACADEMY, I'm really
Ella Stevens (McLaren Oxagon): I don't have a favourite memory yet, so I'm looking forward to going this year. Most years I've been racing every weekend. Other than watching it a few times at home, my favourite memory is probably Lando Norris winning it last year.
