Posting an unbeatable 1:36.789 during the first hour of the morning’s running, she wound up over two tenths clear of Chloe Chambers and Alisha Palmowski. Despite the stop-start nature of the afternoon session, Weug’s form continued, setting a 1:37.389 on her final attempt to pip Lloyd to the fastest lap by 0.093s.

Alisha Palmowski was delighted at how she and her Campos Racing team overcame their initial setbacks, but believes there is still more pace to come.

Behind the scenes, Palmowski initially struggled to find the right balance in the car on a track known to push the drivers to the limit. Despite a moment at Turn 9 in the latter stages of running, the Briton immediately bounced back and delivered a 1:38.074 to beat Maya Weug to the fastest time by 0.087s.

F1 ACADEMY confirms that an incident occurred today, Saturday 5th April, during testing at Jeddah Corniche Circuit involving the driver of car #3, Nina Gademan. 
Gademan is conscious and has been transferred to King Abdullah Medical Complex for precautionary checks.
