Nerea Martí quickest in final testing sessions in Valencia

Campos Racing’s Nerea Martí topped the timesheets once again as Testing in Valencia came to a close today, with the teams now focused on their next race in Barcelona in just nine days’ time.

The Spaniard continued to show her impressive pace around her home track and is hoping that she will battle for more podiums in Barcelona:

“The session was positive, same as yesterday, really! We keep changing things, working on the set-up and I am improving my driving as well. The focus is on Barcelona, and with it being a hot track, similar to here, let’s see if we can stay on the top step.”

Fellow Spaniard Marta García, driver for PREMA Racing, recorded 58 laps in the first session of the day, more than any other driver. The series leader will be looking to stay at the top of the standings when the drivers head to Barcelona for Round 3 next week:

“We were working on a lot of things this morning, that’s why I did so many laps! In general, it went well, but next week we are in Barcelona where we were for Pre-Season testing. We were quick there so I think it will go quite well!”

MP Motorsport driver Emely de Heus was happy to be able to test some new set-up options ahead of Round 3: “Testing was good, we tried a lot of different set-ups and I found a new one which I am really happy about and I think will be great for me. I am excited to be back racing so soon again in Barcelona next week!”

After today’s sessions, the teams will head north to Barcelona to prepare for Round 3 at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on May 19th-21st, with all the drivers looking to secure some vital points in the standings.
