Following the conclusion of F1 ACADEMY Race 2 in Shanghai, Rachel Robertson and Jade Jacquet have both been handed grid penalties.
Firstly, Robertson has been handed a five-place grid penalty for her next race after colliding with Shi Wei on the approach to Turn 14. The Stewards determined that after running off track on the preceding lap, the PUMA driver accumulated dust on her tyres. On the following lap, she braked as usual but misjudged the state of her tyres, which led to an unavoidable collision with the Wild Card driver.
Secondly, Jacquet has also received a five-place grid drop for the next race she participates in after colliding with Esmee Kosterman at the same corner. The Stewards decided that even though the Williams driver did not mean to hit the #32 LEGO Racing car, she could clearly see what was happening as she had the tow but still ended up colliding from behind.
