Series leader Marta García rounded off an excellent weekend for her PREMA Racing team by getting her third race win of the season and her team’s fourth in a dominant Race 3 display.

The Spanish driver now leads the Series by 26 points, and with MP Motorsport’s Hamda Al Qubaisi gaining on her all weekend, the race win was pivotal in keeping the distance to her nearest competition.

“It feels amazing after a difficult Saturday where I struggled with track limits, but racing is like that. I think I did a good job on Saturday, we started P14 and I got a P5 without any damage, but now it feels good to get a win and get points for the series.”

The teams are staying in Valencia to conduct two extra test days over today and tomorrow (May 9th and 10th). It is a pivotal time to get some more preparation in ahead of Round 3 in Barcelona starting May 19th.

García added: “We will have a few hours in the morning and afternoon each day of the test days, but I think the focus will not be on how everyone else is doing, but more on how we do as a team ourselves and if we want to try anything new for Barcelona or the next races.”
