Havrda handed grid penalties following Zandvoort Free Practice 1

Following the conclusion of F1 ACADEMY Free Practice 1 in Zandvoort, Nicole Havrda has been awarded grid penalties for both Race 1 and Race 2.

The American Express driver was found to have overtaken Doriane Pin after Turn 10 during Red Flag conditions.

At the moment in which the session was Red Flagged due to an incident involving Joanne Ciconte at Turn 9, Havrda was navigating Turn 1. Upon reaching Turn 10, the Canadian overtook Pin.

The Stewards determined that the available information does not indicate any mitigating circumstances or justification for the overtake, which was a breach of the regulations. As a result, they have elected to impose a 10-place grid drop which will be applied to both races.
