Alba Larsen has become the first driver confirmed for the 2027 F1 ACADEMY season, with the 17-year-old remaining with Ferrari.

The Dane has been permitted to continue for a third campaign in the series following a rule change announced last year, which is granted exclusively to drivers whose performance indicates strong potential for continued growth.

Larsen's announcement comes off the back of her double podium finish in Zandvoort — her first silverware in the series. She currently sits fourth in the Drivers' Standings with six points-scoring finishes, alongside achieving her first win in British F4 this season.

She made her F1 ACADEMY debut back in 2025, racing in the Tommy Hilfiger car, where she claimed 10 top-10 results. During that campaign, Larsen was signed by the Ferrari Driver Academy and will remain part of the programme for the 2027 season.

Speaking on the announcement, Larsen expressed her delight at the opportunity to return and prove what she's capable of.

"After two years in F1 ACADEMY, I’ve seen first-hand how much this series has grown and how important it’s become," she said. "Susie and the team keep pushing it forward, the fans bring so much energy, and I’ve had an incredible team around me. I’ve grown a lot here too. I’m really proud to be part of it and can’t wait to be back on the grid with Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2027.”
