ART Grand Prix’s Léna Bühler added to her P3 in Race 1 by securing a P2 in Race 2 and she showed that she is a strong competitor in the 2023 F1 Academy season.

Speaking after today's second race, the Swiss driver said she was focused on making it three podiums out of three in Valencia in tomorrow's Race 3: “I’m quite happy with the P2 and P3 and I need a good start tomorrow to make it three podiums in a row. I’ve been trying to be consistent throughout the whole race and need to in order to maximise the points we can score.”

Race 2 was particularly difficult, as Bühler was caught in between Bianca Bustamante and Hamda Al Qubaisi and had to manage her race well to secure the podium. She said: “The first two laps I wasn’t catching Bianca, but I managed to catch up for the last two and then I had to manage the dirty air behind her, which is particularly difficult at this track. I was also having to make sure I did not make a mistake as Hamda could have overtaken me.”

With every team still getting to grips with the new series, Bühler was delighted with the performance of her team. She added: “With ART we try and do the best job possible because we are new in this category. What we have achieved after a difficult Free Practice, to get two podiums, is very good for the team.”
