Payton Westcott best lap reinstated following Shanghai Qualifying

Following the conclusion of F1 ACADEMY Qualifying in Shanghai, Payton Westcott has had her fastest lap time reinstated following a post-session review.

The Mercedes driver set a 2:04.680 late on in the session, which was good enough for P4. However, the time was deleted after faiing to negotiate Turn 2 using the track and her next best lap saw her classified in P6.

Following the session, the Stewards determined that the in-session lap time deletion was incorrect and therefore, the lap time was reinstated.

It means that Payton is classified in fourth ahead of Rafaela Ferreira and Lisa Billard. As a result, she will line up in P5 for Race 1 on Saturday, with Billard and Ferreira lining up ahead of her on the second row.
