Motorsport UK Girls Karting Academy

The Girls Karting Academy is a grassroots initiative aimed at increasing female participation in motorsport. By introducing more women into Karting at a young age, we are expecting to see increased female representation across the motorsport pathways. Within this program, drivers will work with coaches to understand the fundamental skills required to participate confidently within karting.

1. Taster Day

Girls experience karting, meet instructors, and receive:

• Free Motorsport UK Race Academy Membership
• Personal Development Plan (outlining key skills and progression goals)

2. Race Academy Progression

Participants will be encouraged to book onto TeamSport Race Academy events at their own pace, choosing from a variety of skill-building opportunities.

3. Monthly Girls Karting Academy Club Night

Dedicated session for:

• Reviewing PDPs with TeamSport’s fully trained Chief Instructors
• Social interaction and networking with other female racers
• Building confidence and track experience

4. British Indoor Kart Championships

Encouraging girls to participate within the British Indoor Kart Championships.

• Offering the chance to win a fully funded seat in Club 100 to help drivers get onto the Karting Ladder.
