In addition, Alisha Palmowski has been awarded a 10-second time penalty for causing a collision with Chloe Chambers at Turn 1. The Stewards determined that the Red Bull Racing driver travelled over the kerb, making wheel to wheel contact and then snapped forward, making contact with Chambers’ front wing.
As a result, Nina Gademan is promotion to her first F1 ACADEMY podium in third ahead of Lia Block, Alba Larsen, Tina Hausmann, Chloe Chambers, Aiva Anagnostiadis, Aurelia Nobels and Nicole Havrda, who receives the final point in P10. Meanwhile, Palmowski drops from P8 to P12 in the final classification.
Rafaela Ferreira has been handed a five-place grid penalty for the next race she takes part in after rejoining unsafely at Turn 9 and colliding with Chloe Chong. The Stewards determined that the Racing Bulls driver was wholly to blame for the incident, which caused both cars not to finish the race.
The penalty demotes Ferreira from P9 to P14 on the grid for Race 2.
